Candace
Name: Candace. Goes by Candy as a pup, but prefers her full name as an adult.
Age: (3rd/4th gen)
Gender: Female
Status: owned
Breed: 1/4 GSD, 1/4 Norwegian Elkhound, 5/24 border collie, 7/48husky, 2/24 Australian sheepdog, 3/48 wolf
Parents: Fly Boy and Cheyenne
Siblings: RB, Beagle, Fletcher, Zephyr, Avian and Amelia
Mate: Mutt
Pups: Colby, HodgePodge, Caden (Kia) and Rouge (Kolton)
Personality:
Miss Candace is a classic dainty-toed damsel. She refuses to do any type of manual labor, faints at the slightest upset, and holds much compassion for children and small creatures. Her shameless femininity is endearing to males, but it causes Candace to be somewhat ridiculed by more independently-minded females. Generally though, Candace is loved throughout the town for her sweetness, and because, despite her neediness, she is never too overbearing on others. Behind closed doors, Candy can be a bit selfish and frankly petty--she may be prone to whine over silly things other dogs say about her.
History:
Candace lived a charmed life, pampered endlessly by male admirers and friends alike. When she was young, she would contribute to the society that so loved her by baby-sitting the younger dogs around town. One of her charges was an older kid named Mutt, the grandson of one of her mother's acquaintances. Candace never thought much of the younger male, and tried to ignore the obvious crush he held for her.
Young Mutt became irritated when Candace began her most serious relationship with a dog called Roxas(c)Cooper. Though Candace was crazy for the strapping stud, Mutt grew bitter and soon stopped coming over to meet her, instead staying with his mother out on his farm. Candace didn't even notice when the younger male disappeared altogether one day, but once she did she couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt and unease.
A year or two later Mutt re-appeared in the town, apparently away at a circus. Candace didn't even recognize him at first; she had escaped the noticed of Roxas, who had become unbearably possessive, and ran into a familiar looking, very handsome young dog. Her distraction with him kept her from recognizing him, but once she paid a bit of attention she was mortified to realize who he was. Mutt was beaming a teasing smile at her, proud and cocky that she noticed how much he'd matured. Candace, flustered, excused herself from the awkward encounter and went back to her boyfriend, extremely confused and embarrassed.
Over the next few weeks she avoided Mutt, but he, not so subtly, made it a point to bump into her constantly. Eventually his attachment to her became so obvious that even Roxas noticed--and he was not happy. When Candace was away, he confronted the younger male and told him not to get any fancy ideas about Candace. Mutt, however, was impertinent and claimed he had known her long before Roxas ever had. The animosity between the two males continued, with poor Candace in the middle.
Over time she grew upset with Roxas and his suffocating possessiveness and broke up with him. Mutt didn't ask Candace about it, but he simply assumed it was all for him. It turned out to be pretty easy for him to "put the moves" on Candy--she tried to stay demure and lady-like, but well. Yeah, thy get together and have a few kids. (Nice going, Mutt. ;])
Other: Aloof towards most of her siblings, but admires her sardonic mother a great deal. Wears tattered red scarf with a pin heart looped onto it.
Voice: Reese Witherspoon (Elle Woods)
