Donatello
Name: Donatello
Breed: Doberman/ Husky/ Unkown
Gender: Male
Status: Stray (Un-Fixed)
Mate: Enix
Pups: Static, Cherry, Wynter, Paprika
Parents: Cadet and Shaylore
Siblings: Fuschia
Likes: Enix, being free, Zander, Fuschia
Dislikes: Being without Enix, Dog fighting, Barolo, when Fuschia runs off, when a girl is in pain or trouble
Personality: Stubborn but very smart. Donatello always puts on a show that he is a tough guy and has no feelings. Which for the most part is true. Exept for the fact that he cares deeply for those he considers his family. Donatello is uninterested in any gang and scoffs at them. Prefering to be alone Donatello makes a bit of a rep for himself by being a one man fighter. Don can come off as a little too serious at times. He doesn't like to see any girl get hurt no matter what.
History: When Shaylore had puppies, they had to be kept on the streets. Both dobbie pups fared well. Donatello though grew very protective of Fuschia. Thats when she went through her rebelious streak (and she hasn't come out of it yet). She got herself caught on a regular basis by the local animal shelter as a joke. And of course to stress Donatello out.
After about the fifth time, Don learned that Fuschia could take care of herself. The duo worked very well together and had a very good understanding of the other. Don mostly struck out on his own, joined a few fights and started gaining enemies among the street gangs. Barolo and his band of misfits was one of them.
When walking around his 'turf' on a cold night, Donatello caught wind of a fight going on in the woods by a logger's cabin. Don wanted in to whatever they were doing and ran a short cut he knew to the spot to where they were headed. When he got there he could hear the yelping, barking, and squealing of the other males as they fought and raced. When reaching his destination Don already felt like the victor. "Could you be a dear and help me off this leash?" she said slyly Don, jumped a little startled and faced the female. She was a pretty looking border collie that was roped to a tree.
He nawed part way through the rope holding Enix when the others arrived, and they did not like the sight. Many were still fighting over Enix and a few were yelling. Enix discovered what the fighting was about and was disgusted. Soon the males surrounded her and Don and she started to panic and screamed for help. Upon hearing a dog whining loudly a man who was walking home from a backwoods dogfight found Enix and chased all the other dogs away by firing his rifle. Donatello on the other hand hid in the shadows. He untied Enix and she snapped on him and started to run but the man lunged on her and grabbed her muzzle tightly with his hand. He used the rope that he took off to tie around her mouth and head in a crude muzzle. He dragged Enix off deeper into the woods. Don followed worriedly.
After seeing where Enix was taken to he barked at the man and got himself caught. His plan for escape would have worked if he was brought to the same shed but he was put in with a bunch of males. Donatello was taught to fight and fight until he was so tired he could barely stand, and then fight some more. Donatello earned many meat rewards for winning the smaller fights where his was pinned against dogs half his age. He killed numerous small and young dogs. But he only did it to survive. After his master thought he was ready, Donatello was entered into a 'real' fight. One that was worth money. Two years of this passed. Donatello suprisingly only took place in three matches. He had changed over the years though, he looked hardened and had light barely noticible scars.
When staring boredly out of his cage, Donatello's gaze was met by Enix's more mature looking eyes. He remebered the reason he was there. But for some reason he never regretted his choice, he knew he needed to save her then. And now three years later he still knew she needed some saving.
Through the bars he told her that he had followed her that night and what came after.
Soon enough in the following week males were brought to Enix's cage and she fought off every one of them. Her master eventually stopped putting males in the cage for fear of them getting injured. He decided that if she wanted to fight then he would make her fight in the ring. The next match he had he threw Enix in not knowing what she was up against. The dog was a large bull mastiff, the dogs surrounding the ring in there cages watched either blood thirsty or in horror as the big dog bit down hard on Enix's back. Rain poured down from the sky above and made her wound burn, but she still tried her best.
Donatello watched angerly and chewed at the cage's wires and eventually broke through them. He rushed at the large dog blindsiding him and tore his throat open. The humans were all in shock, Donatello used this as a cue to escape. Both ran as fast as the could and eventually lost every human in sight to the thunderstorm. Enix was losing a lot a blood and Donatello carried her on his back. They did eventually make it to Nome's boiler room. Donatello laid with her all night.
Fuschia, during these long years, had assumed her brother was killed. When returning home from another listless day Fuschia found a panting full grown Donatello with a border collie that had blood pouring from her head. She did not wake up in the night. When the morning came, Enix had scratched the large scabs on her skull.
Still feeling weak the border collie nearly fainted. The two siblings took care of Enix and eventually she recovered from the shock. Fuschia learned of everything Enix and Don had been through and was terrified by the horrible details. Enix and Donatello end up living on the streets together. Don teaching her the ropes of being a street dog. They fall in love and have puppies.
