Evol is outwardly content with her life, though inwardly she holds several regrets and desies that she refuses to aknowldge unless she has downtime to reflect upon them. Evol is wise and sensible, very self-controled and not the violent type. However, being very good at what she does, she is busisness-like with everything from mates to children, and remains coldly unattatched from most things.
History:
She was named 'Evol' for good luck---the men who bred her hoped she'd have a vicious(evil) fighting spirit. Evol wasn't necesarily treated any special as a puppy until the men started to notice her inexpected, uncontested domiance over the other pups in the black market breeding center. They wouldn't have been so surprised if Evol had shown even an inkling of dominant behavior, but no: she never snapped at any pup, yet they gave her room when she walked by, shrinked away when she came to eat their food, and never played rough with her.
From then on, Evol grew to be very much respected by the entire operation. People started affectionatly calling her 'Queenie' and gave her an official ring name(Nefertiti) for when she was put into fights. Of course not one dog fought her...a rough, savage male once attacked her though. Evol didn't put up much a fight either, but a few men steped in to help their Queen out. She got out with only an ear bite, but no one ever risked putting her in the ring again---for however cruel they were to other dogs, they all had a soft spot for Evol.
Her fighting career done, Evol was put into the breeding program and did a marvelous job. She wasn't attatched to her partners and was an equally detatched mother(though she went through the motions and raised the pups healthily). A pig-headed male amed Raef formed a special attatchment to Evol, something she had never encountered from another dog, as for the most part they gave her a respectable ammount of space. She secretly enjoyed it, though she wasn't a fan of his cheauvenistic tendencies to her pups or to other females. They had a falling out over their son Buck--both parents were proud of him, though Raef credited his son's success to his own genes without giving Evol so much as a sideways glance and overlooked his daughters and his 'weaker' sons entirely. Evol grew disappointed with him and refused to see him any longer.
The last Raef heard of his one time partner, she had died in childbirth, though, unknown to Raef, this was just a rumor. Still, Raef eventually went on to find other females to mate with, as Evol continued her breeding job.
Other:
Evol had always embraced her name to mean 'Evil'. However, a certain blue-eyed pup in Buck's litter--a pup Evol, however hard she tries, can't forget--once asked her as to where her name came from.
"My name, 'Evol'? The humans called me so in hopes that I would be turn out to be savage, cruel."
The small pup cocked his head and probed in a small voice. 'They wanted you to be evil?'
The mother doberman was tired and wasn't used to her children asking questions. She did not answer. The pup persisted, '.....Do you think you're evil, mommy?'
Evol paused. 'In some ways, yes." She answered tersely, regreting her unloving relationship with her mates, children, and her ring career.
The blue eyed pup recoiled. "What do you mean? Daddy's called 'Reaf'. You told me that if you spell it bakcwards it means 'fear'. Daddy isn't scared of anything though." The pup stated this fiercely, and Evol nodded her head absentmindedly to pacify her child.
The pup paused, staring at his mother who turned when he had quieted. Was he going to say anymore? She continued to look at her son, her blue-eyed son whose father disaproved of him. She sighed, and her eyes grew saddened. Sensing something wrong with his mother, the pup clumbsily worked his way to sit between his mother's forelegs. Evol allowed a small smile to grow on her muzzle. As they sat staring eye to eye, the child finished his thought: 'You can't be evil momma--your name spelled backwards is 'love'."
