John
Name: John
Age: About the same as El (2 yrs). He's a few months older though. (2nd gen)
Gender: Male
Breed: Doberman Pinscher
Parents: Raef and Unknown
Siblings:Buck
Mate: El
Pups: Toby and Iris
Personality: John, despite his breed's 'bad reputation' is an absolute sweet-heart. He hates making others feel bad about themselves and is great at cheering others up. John is a suave talker and always has something to say, but never vocalizes anything too irrational or stupid. He is very protective, especially of 'his' El. John is full of common sense and rhyme and reason, and never acts rashly(unless it has something to do with El's safety).
Likes: Running. Oh god, he could do that all day!; his brother; El and being around, about, and with her; night-shift at the junk yard;
Dislikes: his job; his brother(love-hate relationship); being judged by his cover; when his master yells at him
Fears: his brother doing anything to hurt El or his friends; being sold into dog-fighting; being around pups. He doesn't trust himself to be gentle enough with them.
History: John was born in a very large litter- 8 dobbies! Their mother and subsequent father were both part of the breeding black market. His father had several more litters and then died in the ring. His mother was a beauty, coming from a long line of near-perfect specimins. John's brother, Buck, and himself were bought together to be used as fighting dogs. However, the men in charge only wanted Buck, whose red eyes were constant with that of a true, aggressive, fighting doberman. John's blue baby eyes did not go over well with the ring handlers, so he was sent along with the other rejected puppies to a shop-keeper who was in on the scandal and and promptly sold the pups.
John was bought by the garbage man who needed an attentive watchdog for the junkyard. While John dislikes his job and position, he is far away from any dog fighting, and for that he is greatfull. Buck was bought by a rich man who ran a fishing company. He is very proud of Buck and decides to keep him as a house-dog as well as a (secret)champion fightin dog. John sees his brother often as the junkyard is only a few blocks away from Buck's house. They are quite close, but John hates how demeaning he is to everyone and especially to his friend Cheyenne, whom Buck has a huge egotistical crush on.
John's owner knew El's owner very well, and the two dogs hit it off...well in a rocky way at first. John though she was the prettiest thing he ever set eyes on, so naturally he would have been disapointed when she didn't intrduce herself and wouldn't talk when Jon tried. He at first didn't realize El's shyness and thought she was being a bit stuck up, so away he went with ignoring her, sad that they wouldn't be able to get to know each other. Later on John realized what an ass he was being towards a lady and went to apoligize to El, no matter how 'stuck up' he thought she was being. Turns out she was incredibly reserved, but also had a good sense of humor. They laughed over the misunderstanding. El said she 'gets that a lot.'
What He Sees in El: He marvels at her extreeme willingness to endure large amounts of pain for others. He finds this very humble and modest, and he trys to be there to help her as often as he can. Of course he finds her very beautifull, and her shyness is endearing to him. He feels quite responsible and protective of El.
