Personality: Scarto is sensitive, curtious, and helpful. He is a bit of a neat freak and likes to keep his appearence orderly. He is smart and has a good sense of smell. He feels that everything has its place in the world and doesn't want to hunt something for the joy of hunting. Generally a happy dog but likes to drag on in convorsation and can be quite a boring character to spend too much time with. Holds a high respect for foxes and other common fur providing animals.
History: Scarto was raised to be a hunting dog. He followed his masters orders and became a decent hunter. Always being praised for his job. Scarto was respected among Nome, as his master provided a large amount of fur within the clothing industry.
Scarto didn't mind his work until one day he was sent to flush out a fox. When sniffing by the den he found that there were three young cubs with their eyes barely open. Before Scarto knew what to do the mother was shot and dragged away. Scarto was praised and brought home for his regular nap in front of the fire place.
Everything Scarto knew went under. The fox cubs were the only thing on his mind. That night Scarto decided that he wouldn't continue this work. He ran off right before sunset. On his way out Scarto found his long time crush and best friend Rivet. He told her to run away with him.
The girl was thrilled by the thought of adventure and love. They found the fox den and tried to save the cubs. Only two of the three survived. The third a male was buried inside the old den. Scarto and Rivet became mates, and adoptive parents of the remaining cubs. As winter got harsher another pup had passed.
The loss hurt the small family severly. In a desperate attempt to save the last cub, Scarto and Rivet found another fox vixen and begged her to take the cub. She did. Rivet and Scarto visit the cub often and treat it like a neice. The cub doesn't remember much about her old family and thinks that she was the only one born in her litter.
The next spring Rivet gave birth to pups of her own. Scarto and Rivet raise them in the wild.
