Name: Gil
Breed: Greyhound/Collie
Gender: Male
Status: Owned
Mate: N/A; Crush on Cricket
Pups: N/A
Parents: Drew and Cirrus
Siblings: TBA
Half Siblings: Derwent and Slyless
Likes: Peace and quiet, not being judged
Dislikes: His mom smothering him, being cold
Personality: Stubborn, easily bothered. Gil is hard working, sometimes difficult to talk to. He is very passive in an arguement and doesn't much like to share his opinion with others. Gil hates being judged by others and is very resentful. Doesn't believe in himself much and is sometimes labeled a downer. Loves playing with puppies because they always seem so happy.
History: Gil's father was a bit older than his mother. He was a retired racer that was touring the U.S with his master off of his final race's big winnings. Cirrus had a few flings with girls at each stop. Gil was the result of one of these flings. Gil and his siblings though were loved by his obsessive mother. She loved to smother all of her children and know all of their business, but not in a damanding way but more of a friendly way. Gil was suprised that most of his siblings even his older ones seemed to love this sort of attention. Gil rebelled and fought with his mother trying to get away.
When he eventually abandoned his family Gil noticed how cold winter was with his odd whispy fur. He found refuge among a broken family looking for help. Cricket, the female he met was a mute. She couldn't talk but she had this way when she looked into his eyes that made him feel like she was looking into his heart.
The poor girl looked exhausted and her mother was the one that needed the help. Her mate had died and she basically went nuts. Tessie couldn't hardly take care of herself without Gumbo, let alone her two litters of children. Cricket had to take over and care for her younger siblings and mother and it was wearing her down. Especially since Weevil had turned her back on the family.
Gil was asked to help watch the pups and help retrieving food. He loved spending time with the youngsters and playing with them. He could outrun all of them and they had a lot of fun chasing him. Gil was also there to comfort the silent Cricket. She seemed more at peace with him around. Her eyes always encouraged him to be himself. He liked the fact that she could say so much and not speak a single word.
