Ronum
Name: Ronum. Gang nickname is "Mac"
Gender: male
Age: 4 1/2 (2nd gen)
Breed: 1/2 gray wolf, 1/2 malamute
Mate: none
Crush: Step
Personality: Shy, passionate and vengeful. He knows exactly what he wants and does anything to get it. He is not necessarily evil at all, just a bit on the wild side due to his ancestry. He tends to act out when things go wrong.
History: Ronum's parents had a rather large litter in a farm house near the country. His mother was shot and his father disappeared coincidentally. He never knew either of his parents, and grew up a bit hard-hearted. Ronum had gotten offers from gangs to join up, but Ronum wanted a place where he wouldn't be cast aside as trash for the rest of his life.
When he was 2 he was wrangled by the local dog catcher and brought to the pound. There he waited for a week or two before a man ambled by and bought him off of the dog catcher. He sold Ronum, and his new owner put him straight to work as a wheel dog on his sled team. Ronum came to admire the lead dog, Step, greatly and soon fell completly in love with her. He was always extremely resentfull of her mate, thinking that is why she is always so rigid and defensive around him. He has no idea about her past(Step was viciously attacked by a roving gang of wolves when she was younger. She is predisposed to hate all other wolfdogs because of her ordeal).
Ronum's master did not know of his wolf ancestry, especially since he ran so well with the team. However, their master soon began to notice a lot of tension between Step and Ronum. Late one night, he heard a scuffling in the dogrun where he kept his team. A fight had broken out among several of his dogs(mostly Step and her team vs. Ronum) and Ronum had gotten the worst wounds out of all of them. Thinking that Ronum would die, he literally put him in a burlap sack and left him on the side street, then returned to salvage the rest of his team from their injuries.
The next morning a sign was put up looking for a new wheel dog. Ronum was awake and conscious by then, though hurt and confused by Step's violence and his cold abandonment by his master. A darkness came over him at that point, and Ronum retreated inside himself to simmer with his own conflicting hatred. He accepted an offer from one gang--Raul's--and joined, though so far he finds it difficult to assimilate and make friends. He is respected well enough over his ordeal and his brute size though the gang tries to give him a wide berth of healing space. In the gang Mac does miscellaneous odd jobs while he heals, but then moves on to fighting and turf-defending. The alpha female, Lyra, has taken quite a shine to him and his passionate nature. She has taken him under her wing to unlock his true potential---though the rest of the gang (minus Raul) sees him more as her personal body guard.
